High Density DSLAMs and Splitter Shelves

ADTRAN's Total Access 3000 High Density DSLAM systems are essential to a network build-out that brings access nodes closer to subscribers, facilitating delivery of multiple channels of video (high-definition and standard TV), as well as voice and data. They are specifically designed to smooth the network's transition to Ethernet as its native transmission and switching technology.

The Total Access 3000 High Density DSLAM is designed for market-ready deployment in the Central Office (CO), Remote Terminal (RT), or Multi-Tenant Unit environment. When integrated with the Total Access 3000 High Density eXpansion (HDX) System, the platform can grow from a single DSLAM 224 ports configuration to a configuration allowing 1344 DSL ports from a single DS3 network feed. When utilized in conjunction with the Total Access 3000 Splitter Chassis, splitter modules may be service without impacting the "lifeline" POTS service.

The main components of the Total Access 3000 DSLAM are the System Controller Unit (SCU), Cell Switch Modules (DS3, OC-3c, or 128-port), and up to 28 individual line cards. Access to differentiated services ports include ADSL, SHDSL, ATM DSX-1, Circuit Emulation Service (CES), DS1 Frame Relay, DS3, and DS1 IMA.
The Splitter Chassis is an ADSL Splitter Chassis and is designed to work in conjunction with the Total Access 3000 Chassis when configured as a DSLAM.
The Total Access 3000/3010 is a compact, cost-efficient, and scalable platform that may be configured as a DSLAM or ATM Switch.
ADTRAN's High Density eXpansion (HDX) System platform enables growth from a single DSLAM (224 port) configuration to a configuration allowing 1344 DSL ports from a single DS3 network feed.
